Please people support third person shooters FPS are just making people stupid and they forget there is such thing as peripheral vision and actually tactics.. Seriously FPS attract too many lone wolfs..
Oh, Ghost Recon online; no thanks. I actually liked the campaigns of the previous games, though unfortunately never picked up the last, which I should probably do; that'd feel really weird though now. I know some people disliked Advanced Warfighter because it wasn't as 'hardcore' as the previous ones, but those are still some of my favorite games of last-gen. I really should play the last one.
This looks like loads of fun, even though graphically it's outdated!! I don't know why future soldier gets all the hate in general but the MP community is highly active
Installed and played a bit last night. It is quite fun, and I really like all the game mechanics. But what the hell with the graphics?? They are SO bad that you literally cannot see very far in front of you, it has this horrible blurry/soft texture crap going on that reminds me of very old last-gen consoles, or as someone else said -smart phones.
Also, when you go into cover there's a very bad quality depth of field blur that happens, which you can't turn off (this game has almost zero graphic settings), now I've got a feeling that is part of the game mechanics..but my god it's awful.
Another thing, but I don't know if it's accurate. According to a lot of posts I've read about the game, it is very much pay 2 win. The game is a lot of fun up until about level 7-8, until the matchmaking throws you into matches with max geared veterans where you'll get slaughtered.
I downloaded it the day it came out and man I was surprised how fun it was, definitely a better version of their first attempt, I haven't spent a cent and I am able to make enough credits in game to buy the weapons and upgrades I need.
There is actually a fair bit of tactics involved to as you can go prone or crouch against cover for different ways to peek out and help your team secure a point and move up to the next.
I prefer the old Xbox Ghost Recon games. The original and Island Thunder were the best in the franchise IMO. GR2 & Summit Strike were decent too (man, getting shot scared the hell out of you). Why they made the series into a CoD knockoff is beyond me. The single player and multiplayer were sublime and original. Sadly, there are no good sniper games out there. Sorry Sniper Elite - your weird skeleton slow-mo shots are just creepy and actually ruin the experience.
@Sevenizz Indeed, I really like all the Ghost Recons prior to future soldier, and the multiplayer for GRAW 1 and 2 on consoles was a lot of fun. I have GRAW 2 for the PC, but it just wasn't as good imo.
@Sevenizz Pretty typical, ruin the identity of a franchise in the name of appealing to the masses. The game still seems pretty good, but looks to play a lot more like a Rainbow Six or even CoD than a Ghost Recon title, too bad!
@nl_skipper @Sevenizz there's a lot less running and gunning than COD, you take tactical positions and take out your enemys to move up, if everyone played like COD they would be getting killed and respawning while the other team took the checkpoint.
