Danny, I thought Escape from Mount Stupid was cancelled? due to name copyright issues or something like that. Good to see it back though. Would ye consider Shadow of the Beast 1-3? It's one of my all time favorites maybe a bit dark I dont know.

@omenjamlord Nah that was before when it was called Bluffer's Guide. Even if I wanted to cancel EFMS I couldn't. People message me at least once a day asking where it's gone! :D

Ok, so random encounter, I am dying to see you and Johnny play "Super High Impact." But as far as EFMS goes, how about a history of really cool game fads that came and went. Like currently, there are a lot of games with bow and arrows in them ("its the year of the bow" ugh I hate hearing that). But remember when quick time events were cool, or when platforming was what made games amazing... you know game fads that either disappear or just merge into mainstream. OK quick story, I remember after the first time I played Splinter Cell, being pissed that I didn't have the option to go unnoticed in games, and now stealth is like a what some games are all about, though they still can't match the stealth in those first Splinter Cell games.

Or, and this is my last suggestion... games that take forever to finish... 30-40-80 hour games. What do they have in common, why do folks love them. Thats it... SUPER HIGH IMPACT

Hey Danny,

I got a couple of ideas for some episodes! Please take them into consideration!

EFMS History of Bethesda

EFMS History of Fallout

EFMS History of Red Faction

EFMS History of Tom Clancy (Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six)

Thanks for being so freakin AWESOME,

@wieg9797 I would wait for fallout 4 to come out. As of red faction it's to early really.

@wieg9797 Great ideas, Tom Clancy is certainly happening. Also, just in case you missed it, I've already done the Elder Scrolls: http://www.gamespot.com/shows/escape-from-mount-stupid/?event=the_elder_scrolls20111108

Great episode man. I was just was this show was going to have a new episode soon. It's really evolving nicely.

Hey, someday could you do a show on "codes/cheats". The life of cheat codes and uses. Obviously covering the Contra Code and eventually finishing with the development of the Modding and lack of "cheat" now seen on consoles.

I think any of us that remember more than just the recent generations of 3d gaming wouldn't mind a good history lesson on cheat codes.

@CruiserCaptain Yea fantastic idea, cheats used to be like free extra modes. GTA4 was the last game I can remember having a good cheats, and even then it was the exception!

@dannyodwyer @CruiserCaptain

Oh and if you do some day do a cheats episode, could you elaborate on where they originally came from, why they were put into old games. Where they just for the fun of the users? Or, as a childhood rumor suggests, they were used by the developers and testers and just left in? I remember many childhood conversations of this subject. Basically the original purpose and reason for codes/cheats that lead to them becoming such a common part of games that now they warrant an episode.

Thanks again.

Yea I forget about stuff like "Flying Cars" in GTA SA. But yea, seems that the GTA series was one of the last to have true "cheat codes".

Cool, thanks, I hope to see the episode some day. And the show is really coming along, it's like Nerd History Lessons!

Opening this video tab, I had no idea who 'Sensible Software' even were, until the clips of Mega Lo Mania played; I have scenes of that game etched into my memory since before I could even read, all from repeatedly watching an old 'Gamebreaker' VHS (basically an experimental AV substitute of the early gaming magazines), as my parents wouldn't get me my own console, despite my immediate obsession with the medium.

It is refreshing seeing into the past of game development, where programmers took creative risks for the sake of driving the industry and the art of gaming.

On that note, Danny, could you please do an EFMS (or even a Random Encounter) looking at some other European developers from the past, perhaps Garriott's Ultima games, or Molyneux's Syndicate/Populace and progeny? Those were my SWOS.

@dannyodwyer @speedingdeath I'm not sure what your policy is for emulation, but using Dfend and dosbox got most of those games working quite effortlessly for me.

I have been playing games since longer than I care to mention and SWOS is still probably my favourite game. So many good memories of hammering my mates as a kid, getting bargain basement Brazilians on the transfer market and taking the worst teams in Scotland to win the European Cup. Such good memories :-)

*Tear of nostalgia* Thanks Danny an amazing episode - brought back all the memories, i dont want to even consider how many hours i put into SWOS. I even changed my computer at the time because of SWOS it needed 2mb of RAM i purchased the ill fated Amiga CDTV although it came with 2mb of ram, 500kb was used for the o/s - so SWOS only worked in black and white! This wasnt good enough so i got a A600 instead - happy days!

Now that the Jak & Daxter series have been rebooted on PS3, and will soon be on Vita, you should do an ep on them. Or Naughty Dog in general, they got some great franchises.

What's the name of the pigeon simulator game?

And on the sidenote I loved the sentimental trip this Efms gave me, I remember Sensible World of Soccer quite well, I was like 9 when it came out, and I've played it quite a lot as a squirt.

Cheers from Poland mate.
