i think ubisoft had more games that would appeal to me but battlefield 4 is most definitely going to be one of my favourite games, although when gta5 and gt6 come out they will probably surpass it

Square-Enix got me very excited this year, but that's not really surprising. I really missed the Nintendo press conference, because I think they have some cool games coming, like Super Mario 3D World.

All of them, this e3 was pretty amazing.....ubisoft watchdogs and division baby.

Thief looks pretty cool. I just hope they get it right! Titanfall, interesting. Battlefield 4 is looking better & better vs COD: Ghosts. DICE also appears to be more innovative than Infinity Ward & Treyarch, but we'll find out with Ghosts. Note: I am NOT trying to start a big war between BF4 & COD:Ghosts, or COD lovers vs Battlefield lovers - and those in between. Let's keep it civil!

Back to Thief, looks like it could be pretty cool. On to a different game, & publisher altogether, I can't wait till I learn even more about Dark Souls 2; still haven't finished the 1st! :)

Nintendo excited me the most.

That Mega Man reveal was a spectacular thing and I'm very impressed with how well they incorporated his move-set into the universe.

Sega really REALLY impressed me with Sonic Lost World, Wind Waker for Wii U is looking better than ever[that new faster sail is a most welcome addition!], and Monolith Soft absolutely blew me away with their second "X" trailer.

I was also happy to see some next-gen games from a few specific publishers coming to the platform; Watch Dogs, AC4, Deus Ex HR DC and Rayman Legends are all really high on my priority list for the Wii U.

There's also Splinter Cell Blacklist and Mario Kart 8 amongst a whole BUNCH of indie games that look fantastic![I'm DROOLING in anticipation for the next Shantae, as well as Cryamore, Duck Tails Remastered, and Shovel Knight!]

It's going to be a good year to be a Nintendo fan. Yeah, the others are getting some new shooters and racers that boast better graphics, but the only thing that really interested me from them was Kingdom Hearts 3 and MAYBE Garden Warfare.

Am I the only gamer here who thinks EA isn't... that... bad? I mean sure, DA2 sucked and they are held responsible for ME3's ending (for some reason) and all that stuff. But they have great games too? Also, they are trying to learn from their mistakes. It seems Inquisition (at least I heard about it) will be nothing like DA2 and there is creative freedom to do whatever with the next Mass Effect title for BioWare. Also, they greenlit Mirror's Edge even though it was financially unsuccessful and so on.

I'm not saying they are the best ever, but... well, I guess that's the problem of comments on the internet. You either are absolutely terrible or the greatest thing ever and if you're something in between you'll just be pushed towards absolutely terrible.

EA is alright.

EA are money-whores. Forget the XBone's used-game policy: EA have been issuing online passes DRM control for years now. Especially EA Sports. Those games are pure money traps. Play FIFA and you'll see what I mean. They have piss-poor servers and the amount of purchase-able content is just disgusting. They'll never pass up the opportunity to bleed your wallet dry.

Ubisoft had a great showing. Watchdogs, The Division, The Crew, and a new Splinter Cell.

ok lemme tell u what i think , EA did a very nice job with their new stuff for 2013 , also Square Enix did a very nice comeback witht their tri+awesome games ( ffx kingdom hears and thief ) but 4 me Ubisoft did the best job as they have so many awesome games in production for new consoles and PC , the most importantly they brought us at least one game for each genre , which means they covered all gaming concepts with their confrence ( action adv : AC 4 , racing which i loved with the crew , RAYMAN LEGENDS AWESOME RIGHT? , blackbuster in watchdogs , and as always saved the best for last with THE DIVISION which was very spectacular ending and gave me 10 mins chills ) so there u go , 2013-2014 will be awesome and i cant wait

I feel obliged to name Square-Enix as my favorite publisher this E3. Sure Sony and MS showed a lot of great exclusives but Thief + Final FAntasy XV + Kingdom Hearts 3 is too much to take at once.

When Ubisoft shows its stuff, it is often exciting. Rayman Legends [2013] still looks spectacular.

I think EA made a pretty good conference. I mean, sure - more then half of it was sports, and I'm not a fan of that. But looking at the Mirror's edge 2 and Battlefield 4 (or 3.1 as some would call it)  showcases - there were pretty awesome! I was also glad to see the announcement of Dragon age and Battlefront. So it was a good performance for me.  So I'd agree with gamespot here.

Will these games be any good, or be sold for a generous price or give the community what they want? Those are different questions altogether.

Ubisoft i understand just about but EA seriously mirrors edge was the only part of their showing that looked interesting and lets face it they'll probably cannibalize it the way they have every other beloved franchise they've got their grubby little mitts on. Bethesda brought three great looking games all with actual game-play footage and given the developers they've got working on them you can actually trust at least two of those games to live up their potential.

Ubisoft has so many great games that they showed off they are easily the winner for me. EA comes in second.

nope, nope, still boycotting everything EA, activision and ubisoft. Won't be buying.

Is EA really in the same post as ''best publisher''?

Ubisoft did it for me. The new Assassins Creed is the only one I've seen so far that interests me, The Division, Watch Dogs, The Crew. I'm not even a big social gamer, I prefer to play solo, but I like that Ubisoft has meshed the multi-player with the single player but at the same time not making it mandatory. I may actually give it a go now.

All this "How much did company X pay you?!" garbage whenever someone brings up EA/Activision/Microsoft is getting really old. Sounds like the rhetoric of conspiracy theory groups who have no better argument than to try and discredit people by labeling them as corporate shills.

Ubisoft all the way, Watchdogs is by far my most anticipated game this year. It doesn't matter how many times I watch the demo's they still leave me all tingly inside.

@Zevvion I don't agree with all your thought on EA. But I do totally agree that finding a balanced and middle ground in these reaches of the internet is very, very rare. I'm glad to have found one.

@ozm4n They're getting rid of online passes and none of their future games will have them.

@JDWolfie The Division is the pick of the bunch - looks amazing. I was looking forward to Watch Dogs before E3 but now it looks a bit TOO Ubisoft-y. You know; great presentation value, creative idea, but way sub-standard gameplay. Same with Assassin's Creed. Looked great and themed well, but the gameplay is so contrived and unimaginative. It's just running around, fighting some fools, then travelling to the destination and pressing the action button to complete your objective, whatever that may be.

@Toplinkar I know what you mean, Thief looks interesting, But FF15, and finally KH3. Definitely Square-Enix did best!!

Zevvion
Zevvion

@Toplinkar Ah, not really my thing, but I can see why someone would really like that line-up. I am definitely interested in FFXV, but not at all in KH3 and only slightly in Thief. But I heard Thief was kind of not as cool as they promised.

Zevvion

@moonlightwolf01 The new Need for Speed looked rad. The new Dragon Age seems cool, Battlefield 4 was obviously amazing. Star Wars Battlefront announcement + saying that DICE is making it means quite a lot.

Also, that Mirror's Edge even exists is kind of a miracle because the original didn't sell well. So it's totally understandable they are going in a slightly different direction this time around. It makes no sense to develop a game that has an extremely low chance of being successful. Nobody would ever do that.

But from what is known about it so far it's looking good. Open world to do what you want and they assured us it won't be a shooter AT ALL.

@Playboyy1213 lol they didnt give any 1 particular publisher the "best award" they just tried naming a few they thought did well, which EA did

jophy
jophy

@KaSeRRoR not to mention they always don't release the full content worth of the games, instead they sell them as DLC. Not 1, but many DLCs which are all should be included in the original games

jophy
jophy

@KaSeRRoR when a game become successful, EA will buy the game's developer and create more sequels to milk them. These work are normally unfinished and unpolished. they ruin the original masterpiece making all the fans hate them.

Playboyy1213
Playboyy1213

@KaSeRRoR Because they Ruin franchises by being far to Greedy - I.E. SWTOR - Battlefield 3.1 and not caring their customers or about making "Art" at all and treating their employees like dog shit

@bruta Here's a funny idea. Do the actual math and see how wrong you were.

@Akijo

EA has some nice devs so they have some nice games. EA is an awful publisher but I think they just count the games in this vid.

@SloganYams EA? maybe actually because of Battlefield 4's rather impressive MP, Dragon Age 3, Mirror's Edge 2 and Battlefronts. so yeah, while for me Ubisoft (yet again) stole the show, EA impressed me very much. hell, even that Ignite thing for EA sports, pretty impressive tech.

Zevvion
Zevvion

@pohman @ehjesu Didn't they also have some stuff on Cyberpunk?

Either way, yes. Not enough to be a candidate.

Zevvion
Zevvion

@jophy @KaSeRRoR Legitimate criticism, but in the comments people seem to think Ubisoft should have won.

But they milk their franchises dry as well. Assassin's Creed? There will be 6 full fledged AC games on this generation of consoles. A generation that spans 7 years.

Majkic666
Majkic666

@wizzzer_thy_133 @SloganYams BF 4 = yawn another FPS game with more of the same...
Dragon Age 3 = lets wait and see, they tell us they went back to the old way and not like DA2....
Mirrors Edge 2 =never really played it, looks uninteresting.... Battlefront = YES!! but lets hope it doesn't turn out bad like other FPS games, since it has to keep its originality.....

ignite? really?? its the same BS every year
