Uncharted Golden Abyss Review

User Rating: 9 | Uncharted: Chizu no Bouken no Hajimari VITA
At first from reading the box I thought you would not be able to play with the analogue sticks due to the details now being shown on the box, but that would be silly now wouldn't it.

Fortunately you can use the sticks to move but the rest of the game really can be played purely using the Vita in every way possible. From;
- Rubbing the front screen and the rear panel to inspect objects, climb ledges, find treasures, read through Drakes handy book, etc.
- Aim your gun by moving around... literally! Where you look, he will aim.
- There is even a section where you need to raise the Vita to the light above you, very clever I must say.
- Leaning the machine to one side to lean over in game readying a jump.

Currently as I write this review, I am on chapter 17 of 34(?) and have loved every second of it, the game is as smooth as you would like a game to be with top notch visuals to go with it. As usual, great effort has been put into the voice acting and cut scenes are very often... Very! often.

There are tons of treasures to find which you would expect, there are also bounties which give you specific people to shoot down, you wont know who these people are, they simply appear as a bounty that has been killed.

The Black Market feature is a nice addition to the game, it's a service which allows you to trade items you have found on your journey with others to help each other complete collections, this is used via the WiFi/3g and is great when using Near (PsVita App).

Uncharted: Golden Abyss is a top game and easily one of the best release/starting titles for someone new to the Vita. I would highly recommend this to anyone and everyone, and for those Drake fans out there, it will be a satisfying prequel for you.
