When Uncharted 2 came out, I was blown away, and for obvious reasons: refined gameplay, insane graphics, memorable characters/story, epic set pieces, perfect pacing, and competitive multiplayer. A practically flawless game. When Uncharted 3 was announced, I had a hard time believing Naughty Dog could out due themselves. I was right; but that doesn't stop Uncharted 3 from being an incredible experience well worth the full price tag.

Uncharted 3's gameplay is much better this time around. The new melee combat is more less repetitive and more cinematic than before; jump attacks are incredibly satisfying. The level design is more interesting, the cinematics are much better, the graphics are jaw-dropping, the characters are deep, the animations are top-notch, and the set pieces are bigger, better, and more of them. Though it does have problems: It has a shorter campaign, less replayability (Uncharted 2 had bonuses like being able to change characters and weapons on the fly), its more linear, the AI are a bit unrefined, and, most importantly, the story is good, but it leaves a lot of questions. Nearly all the minor characters are thrown in there just to be there, and the last fourth of the game feels rushed. Regardless, its an amazing singleplayer campaign.

Uncharted 2's multiplayer was basic, but very competitive. Uncharted 3 does a complete overhaul, adding weapon loadouts, a vast array of boosters, kickbacks (essentially killstreaks), character customization, and new game modes. The gameplay is more fast paced. Overall, its still competitive, but a little more noob-friendly. The maps are OK, but the Drake's Deception map pack has some of the best maps ever. The multiplayer is a blast, and will keep you coming back for more.

While Drake's Deception flows better than the previous title, it isn't without its flaws. Should you pass? NO. Definitely no. Wonderful game. While you get this game, pick up the other Uncharted games if you haven't already. This is not just one of the best series on the PS3; its one of the best series ever.
