This very well could be the worst fighting game I have ever played.
I'll start with the single player part. The AI is absolutely rigged, perfectly counter-acting your every move. It can perfectly complete 4 button combos instantaneously; faster than any human being can possibly hope to do. The worst part about it is its uncanny ability to DUCK UPPERCUTS, one of the games most powerful moves. It just always seems to know exactly what you're about to do.
Multiplayer is slightly better; at least it seems more real. But many of the players online are hard core die-hard MK addicts who've spent countless hours memorizing every combo and special move that the characters have to offer. Many online players are also sore losers. You can get punished six times in a row by the same guy and then, when you've FINALLY figured out his style and beat him, he quits right then and there.
Puzzle Kombat is okay. Its pretty easy but mildly enjoyable, but not enough the save this game.
Overall, there are flashes of life in this game, and when you finally do win and beat someone, you are exhilirated. But this exhiliration isnt worth the time and frustration that you'll experience if you are only a casual gamer looking for a decent fighting game.
