GOTTA give a full 10 props to this.
Nostalgia is the reason I still love this game. It was a MAIN theme of my life in 7th grade. This is the coolest game I knew, with Destruction Derby 2 in a close second, and still it ranks high on my personal chart. The lesser known PC version was'nt all that great for how crisp it tried to be, pretty much giving up all of singletrac's texture mapping secrets, but the PSone version is a beautifully executed game of El-Eck-Tron-ik chance.
Burned Face Man!! In this case Calypso, when he had hair [does'nt in black]
He was witty and Cool, and his pranks were funny, unlike those Repulsive 989 franchise leechers 3 & 4, that I WILL not except as sequels.

And then there was Sweet little tooth, He was an angry boy in an Ice Cream truck, not a disgusting flabby middle-aged man in a transforming Ice Cream Hummer...What was the thinking there? The new clown head on black's truck with glowy eyes was cool, but I prefer the little head on a spring that refused to roll when the rest of the truck did.
And Mr.Slam, who did'nt love Mr.Slam? I was so hoping to see him in black. Hammerhead was also awesome, though I preferred the Green Pickup from the first one, probably the ONLY thing I preferred. I think they should make a Trilogy of all the cars and levelmaps from 1, 2, and Black, in new PS3/X360 technology.
Buy this if you can find it, it seems most places still mark it at $20 for it's not being made anymore causing demand that can't be met when other fans never give up their copies.
