Twisted Metal 2 is a good game but after Twisted Metal 1 is quite repetitive.

Twisted Metal is a high action car-combat game at it's finest. There are those of us who are still playing the original Twisted Metal. Then there are those who have gotten bored of it. The game is good enough, we are just sort of ready for something new. Well here it is. Twisted Metal 2.

Well to save the best for last we'll get off saying that we want just a little more out of the graphics. Every vehicle looks a little like a card-board box with weels at the bottem. But we can look past that and see different cars totally destroying each other. The gameplay and story are left very much unchanged wich may leave you thinking something like, "is this even a different game?". The gameplay is very repetitive and pretty much exactly like the first Twisted Metal. But thankfully saving the game, are the new weapons. It's really one of the only changes from Twisted Metal 1 to Twisted Metal 2. Many of the same arenas are back yet TM2 has some new levels and arenas.

The story endings are much better now. Rather than just being text scrolling down Calypso's face there is an intro as well as endings to characters in the style of an animated comic. There are also some rather neat touches in these like the flames on Sweet Tooths head move during the comic style ending.

The multiplayer is also fun and should definetly be checked out. You can play against eachother or progress through story mode togethor, although you miss the nice endings this way.Tough in multiplayer cirten cars will now cirtiainly block the screen disabling your vision.

Many of the same characters return as well such as Sweet Tooth and Mr. Grimm. Even Minion appears as a playable, and unlockable, character.

All in all Twisted Metal 2 is better as a weekend rental rather than a full bought game. Fans of the original may want to take a peek at this though others better just ignore it.
