Trials HD is one of the most addictive games on XBLA.

Trials HD is all about manuevering your riders body in order to traverse obstacles and make it to the end of the level. All while riding a little motorcycle. And trying to make it to the end of the level without crashing (or, 'faulting' as it's referred to in the game) Sure, you're allowed to fault, but trying for Gold (or the highly sought-after, Platinum) Medals will push you in ways you haven't been pushed by a simple racer in a long, long time.

As you may have guessed, Trials HD is HARD. Mund-numbingly, ball-bustingly HARD. The game is pretty easy for the first two difficulty levels (beginner and easy, respectively) and medium provides the perfct level of challenge, but once you start hard, all bets are off. fortunately, the level of satisfaction you feel for beating a level that's had you stumped for hours is undeniably great. You feel like the goddamned king of the world.

It took me five days to beat the final level in Trials HD. and once I did, I ran around my house yelling and whooping like some sort of moron. It was just plain awesome.

Now, don't go into Trials HD expecting to come out few minutes later. You will be stuck playing this game for hours on end. It's just that addicting. You will continue playing just to try to shave seconds off of your times to try to get into the top 100 spots on the leaderboards.

Not only the game insanely replayable, but you can create your own levels with a comprehensive level editor. You can pretty take anything you find in the game, and create it in the level editor, and share it online! Unfortunately, you can only share levels with friends, and vice versa, which kind of sucks. I would've have liked to see a LittleBigPlanet style of level sharing.

Basically, this game is a modern day Excitebike. And you should be very, very, excited about this bike. (That was lame. Sorry about that.)

If you've got 1200 Microsoft Points to spare, some extra controllers, lest one of them be broken, and a few friends to share with, then pick up your ham sandwhich and get on your bike, It's Trials time.
