User Rating: 5.8 | Trapt PS2
The deception series has always been unique. Catching people in a deadly trap ( when their life meter runs out that is) and watching them suffer somehow satisfies the evil deviant (but only for fun) person in me. Tecmo continues this satisfaction in Trapt. Tecmo still has not given you interesting reasons to kill people ( not that it matters too much) nor, is the story coherent, gameplay stellar, and audio/visuals stunning. In fact, this game has nothing else going for it besides the fact you get to kill people. Mostly dumb and slow people I might add. Its a bit short and the traps feel really limited. Speaking of the traps, once you find a trap combo that is highly effective boredom will start to settle in and you'll start using other traps just to break this game repetitive nature. Still, this game can take some ( be it small) strategy and skill. Here's the low down:

Pros: Its fun to kill dumb videogame people!

Cons: Repetitive, nothing really special about it other than whats mentioned above. Easy, short, with not enough blood n' guts.

This game could of had more potential if it had been really bloody and gory. Not worth a buy but, its a solid rental though.
