It may be more of the same, but i like the same.

Ok if you read most reviews you know this game is solid but is more of the same as presented by the deception series of games. Then again all the three other games were quite similar with just a different story in them. The game does have some glaring flaws, like the AI which hasn't been improved much since game one, and the slowdown issues are still there from the old games. It has all japanese voice acting so if you like that you will be in good standing, but has english subtitles. A side story option extends the gameplay further, and the slowdown isn't as hindering as it has been made out to be.

The game itself is simple lay down traps with room ones and activate them with the face buttons when people walk on them. The game's biggest flaw lies here in whcih the AI just still fallows you around and attacks you and you can get them to walk into just about anything. The big improvements are the graphics and the controls got changed from the RE and Tomb Raider walking style of the old games, and there is no useless sidestep buttons of before. You can still hold one of the back shoulder buttons to keep a guy in your view and other similar things as little changes have been made. The only beef i have is the trap loading screen (although the set up screen is better then ever) the little trap loading bars are not as percise as they were in 2 (especially) or 3, i just don't like the way they work in this game.

Overall this game is not much a change from Deception 1-3 but is fun to the end. I like it and hope it will turn people on to Tecmo's underrated action series.
