far more satisfying and enjoyable than Diablo 2 ever was
Torchlight is a str8 up clone but it does everything so well and learns from all the design flaws of previous Diablo clones and Diablo itself to deliver the most enjoyable Diablo experience I've played. Flat-out kudos to the developers for offering such value. I got my copy free when I purchased T2 and have enjoyed every moment. If I am forced to find issues the lack of multiplayer is the most obvious problem. But when you consider the value, rewarding loot pacing and convenience elements (pet sells items at store, town portal scrolls, etc...) Torchlight is just awesome.
Torchlight is the kind of Indie game I support and enjoy - not so much the 1983 pixelated crap I keep seeing Gamespot assign 9.0 to. This is the gaming industry at or near its best in delivering enjoyment for excellent value. Don't miss it if you enjoy the genre please. Developers like this need our support more now than ever unless we want the Blizzards and EAs of the world to dictate what we play
Much more excited about T2 than Diablo 3. The Auction House bull**** in Diablo 3 is the most hideous cash-grab, consumer abbusing trash to come along in the 25 years I've been gaming.
