Producer Alexander Parizeau talks about some the cool new features in Splinter Cell: Conviction.
hey did you see eurogamers review it was totally underscored idiots this game deserves at least an 8 eurogamer gave it a 7 to far i think.
@Hamzakazi I would not put it that way, I mean both games cannot really be compared :) but yeah I see what you mean, I have to say that ME2 and upcomming Alan Wake should be concidered as well
Yes , its gonna be my fave ! bt tht dosnt mean tht 360 fans r goin 2 miss a game lyk Uncharted 2 ! the comparison wud be ! UNCHARTED 2 Vs SC Conviction!
COOLLLLLLLLLLLLL!
Dammmmmmmmmmmmmmm
SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What i don't like about watching movies on Gamespot is that you have to pay for 720p and it's commercials before the movies. Unlike youtube wich has better graphs in HD and no commercials except popups u can close.
@ all you ps3 fanboys saying how much better mgs is than sc why are you on this games page shouldn't you be looking at you're precious mgs 4's page instead of crying like little girls about how the BEST GAME EVER (sc incase your small minds can't comprehend big words like best, game, and ever together) so yeah and also it is a stealth and action game so if you're spotted you're not screwed like the old splinter cells. and last sam fisher is AWESOME this time he can just kick ass i have double agent and it was ok but this looks FRICKIN' SICK!
its gonna be rated M for sure
ima be PISSED if rated mature
@REflexhalo no Michael Ironside
To all those wishing the game would come out for the ps3. there's a reason it's not. and that reason is cause The ps3 already has a stealth game in the form of METAL GEAR SOLID 4. there's no reason to have two stealth franchises on the same console. if ubisoft wanted to make a ps3 version i'm sure they would. but for now just accept the fact conviction is a 360 (and pc) exclusive.
Can't wait for this game. it looks fantastic and will be better then Double Agent.
hopefully it will cum out later on the ps3
The gameplay definitely needs a makeover. After beating every game, it can get repetitive.
i want a macbook pro D:
Ahhh that's more like it!
Is Sam Fisher voiced by Kiefer Sutherland in this game?
WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE DELAYED...
DUUUUUDE HIS HANDD!!!!
This is the most BAD ASS SPLINTER CELL YET!!
@Cayne-phoenix: Ignore the thumb downs on your comment, you're right...A solid gaming PC trumps current consoles any day. If you're willing to pay for it.
WOOOOO Montreal Gaming Companies Rule's. GO GO Ubisoft MONTREAL (and go habs go)
couldn't be explained better
How is this not stealth? He is sneaking around and using gadgets to keep from being spotted, and the only time he attacks is when his targets are vulnerable or can't see him. Sounds like stealth to me. I'd give you the hand to hand combat, since someone could alert his comrades in the middle of a fight with a yell or something, but no one mentioned that. Someone mentioned the auto lock-on, and I'll give them that since it looked overpowered (hopefully it has some sort of limit, or else everyone will spam it and complain it's too easy). Other than that, all anyone seemed to say was it's "run and gun" or "too fast paced", but I didn't see anything that looked like that.
Sweet!!!!!
as long as they get it right dnt mind waiting till Q1 theres plenty of good games in q4 to keep me busy :D
Its sad though that they are not releasing this for the PS3, I have every tom clancy game ever made, from the Ghost series, to the Raibow Six, and my personal favorite, Splinter Cell on the original XBOX, LOVED IT, and I always will, I guess I'll have to get it for the PC, even better, man been waiting for this so long. :) :-(
Sam has got brutal!!
Oh can't wait to get this on PC
I must say, that Splinter Cell Conviction is going to be GREAT to play... such a long wait.
Is there any point to getting a ps3? Besides the blu-ray? I mean all i want from that system is MGS, and killzone 2. :( Alas i might have to conform to an xbox 360.
cant wait for this
I think this might be the best Splinter Cell so far. The people at Ubisoft Montréal have been working really hard on this game. They are also using some concepts and game dynamics learned from the development of Assassin's Creed. It looks a lot more mature and gruesome and the kidnapped daughter theme reminds me of the movie ''Comando'' starring the Governator. I think we'll be pretty happy with this game.
holy crap!!! Seriously!!! HOLY CRAP!! I love the enterogating! Sam is definately less merciful. I mean, did you see him pin that guy's hand to that post??!!!
This video reminds me of a certain Penny Arcade (or is it Roosterteeth) comic that showed Sam and Batman in the same strip.
WHAT!!! ITS NOT GONNA BE OUT FOR PS3!?!?!?! Well thats certainly made me want to punch that guy in the face :|
"Oye alright lookie here we got a massive predator, we like to call him Sam Fisher. Now he is highly dangerous so im going to jump on his back and bring him into submission. I try to look at a Fisher like a nice big Crocodile. Now a Fisher likes to hide in the shadows so for all you adventitious people try to avoid warehouses, random streets, or really anywhere where there isn't light."
This game look realy good . I want this game in PC . I think this game is best in series.
did he said xbox 260 on the end?
That's a very good and bigger approach for SC.Can't wait.
To all those saying it's "too fast paced", that's just an option; that's how the devs are playing it to attract more people who didn't like the slow paced nature of the older games. I did notice, even in Chaos Theory, that the gun battles werent that great because it was kinda awkward, but now you can be still be stealthy and mow down some enemies when the moods hits you.
No (presses thumbs down on AdamWriter's comment), everyone here is grown up! :D The game looks great!
I'm sorry, but did someone seriously go through here and just mark "Thumbs Down" for each and every comment? I know it's just a comment string, but grow up please.
over 12 E3 awards? they did the same with Mercenaries 2 but it fell way short of expectations,
wow, hardcore Sam! looks like leap away from actual stealthing from previous games.
1st, I'm glad they kept Michael Ironsides around to do Sam's voice, it wouldn't have felt right without him. 2nd, we have yet another entry into the Splinter Cell series where Sam seems to magically get younger. 3rd, I'm not sure about the new faster paced stealth element. I loved playing the aged spy sneaking through the shadows in the previous entries! Splinter Cell has never been a run and gun game, you had to think, plan and act. I still want to play this though because I love the series, so we will just have to wait and see how it comes out before we render a final verdict.
way too fast paced to be a splinter cell game. more like a 3rd person shooter rather than a stealth game.
DO WANT
Was never a huge fan of Splinter Cell, but this games looks awesome.
