Not a bad game to still talk about.

User Rating: 9 | DewPrism PS
One of the old PS one great's. You play as either Rue, a mysterious boy who has the ability to transform into certain creatures he defeats, or Mint, a stuck-up princess who is supposedly adept in magic, but really isn't. Regardless of when you choose Rue (>.>), you will begin your journey to locate what is known as The Relic, or later known as the "Dewprism". You meet many colorful characters along the way, and some of which will aid you, some of which are searching for the Relic themselves. It's a great story.
Gameplay: You have two attacks, and your tech. Rue, can perform a jump attack, three-hit combo, or a quick horizontal slash that can be used as a recovery technique, or transform from one of the four creatures he has stored, each with two- three skills, while Mint can attack multiple times with her rings that she uses as weapons, jump kick, or use one of many categories of magic. Some magic is offensive, some defensive, and others healing, all consume MP, some more than others of course. You can also test your abilties out against an in-game CPU, named Rod, who will assist you many times throughout the story. He creates his own weapon's and loves testing them on skilled fighters. He has his companion, Jonny Wolf, who will counter against you if you hit him, so he's not just a friend, he's his ally! You earn coins and monster tokens as you progress, and can use the coins, or sell the tokens for one of many offensive or defensive upgrades periodically. In between level's, you go back to Carona (I believe it's called), and rest up, sell monster token's, find hidden coins, etc. Simple, yet so fun.
There are also secret events and items hidden throughout the game's length.
Graphics: Very good for a PS one game, but what else would you expect from Square? Each character shows emotion at all times, but no mouth movement. Animations are smooth, and make sense.
Audio: Music and sound effects are probably the best for a non-FF PS one game ever. Words cannot describe them, well, could not back in this game's day.
Value: High. Most everyone I've talked to at least likes this game.
My Tilt: High. I love this game for as a PS one game. I highly suggest it!
