I enjoyed this point and click adventure and I think you will too, especially if you like the X-Files

I used to play games like Sam and Max, Day of the Tentacle and of course the Monkey Island games. I also enjoyed watching the X-Files on tv, so a combination of the two on the PlayStation should be fantastic. And it is, this game isn't going to rock your world or push your PlayStation. Its not a game for action junkies, although there is a shooting segment. Its a point and click journey of X Files proportions.

First off the puzzles: The puzzles in this game are pretty challenging, some can take hours, but like every good adventure game you just gotta look everywhere try everything, talk to everybody and use your brain. I'd say its much harder than a game like Sam and Max, about the difficulty of DOTT, its set in real life settings so its easier to come to logical solutions.

The storyline: The story is like an episode of the X Files, you play as Craig Wilmore and you have been chosen to investigate the disappearence of Mulder and Scully. Its really cool and has a great plot twist, which some may see coming but its great nonetheless. So I won't say anmore on it cause its really enjoyable and its really what drives games like these.

The Graphics: Well this is just pre-recorded stuff, which is much better than to say if it was done with 3D characters with the power the PlayStation had it just wouldn't of looked good. Its just like playing an episode, its more like an interactive DVD than a game, but its a great. It captures the X Files feel much better than 3D graphics ever could. The actors are just as good as they are in the show, you may be a little bummed you have to play as Wilmore instead of Mulder or Scully but once you get into it he grows on ya.

The Sound: The voices are all good, cause well its the real voices. The music is good, the great theme tune is there and it has similar music to the series. You may here the same song more than once throughout the game. But its not so repeatitive you'll be able to get annoyed by it

The Value: Its four discs, but they aren't extremely long if you learned this of by heart you could finish it in les than 3 hours prob. But it'll take you a while to figure out puzzles and stuff so you'll spend a good while trying to finish it. There is little replay value so unless you want to experience the great story all over again there's nothing really to go back to.

Overall: Its a great story and it has challenging puzzles. Its simple and easy to get into and if your an X Files fan it only sweetens the deal, you'll love it. For just normal point and click fans its great while nothing revolutionary.
