The last horror/action game that I enjoyed this much was Clive Barkers Undying for the PC. If you liked that game you will love this game. The plot is a little thin but enough to keep you interested. The lighting is fantastic. In one seen you are in a fight with movie projectors going and the light and shadow effects are on par with Splinter Cell. I didn't give the sound a higher score because at times it is grating. The use of high pitch noises really started to give me a headache so I actually had to turn it down. The puzzles are simple but a nice distraction from the killing. The game employs a Angle/Devil voice that chimes in when there are good/evil choices to be made. I found this really cool. For example at one point you meet up with a guard who is scared and asks for help. The Angle voices feels sorry for him and thinks you should help while the Devil voice insists he's a coward and should be shot. It's a nice touch in the game for a lead character who is conflicted. While the review says that the insanity creature is an after thought I disagree. It is central to the plot and I found I was using him when I was attacked by groups of creature due to the lethal jump attacked that is upgraded the more you use the creature. All in all a solid game!
