This game had so much potential to be a killer LOTR RPG. Instead, it is a stripped down kiddie romp on the Wii. This game would is great - if you are an 8 year-old. The graphics and the sound are incredible and look great for the LOTR universe. But seriously, all this game is hack and slash and mindless quests. This game would be better served as 2000 point Wii Shop Channel download for all of the originality and game play that it delivers. After previous LOTR entries, this one feels like a shameless attempt to take the Wii motion-senor technology and make a quick buck or two. I would have expected something like this near launch but not in 2010. If you are an absolute LOTR die-hard, even you may be hard pressed to like this game. Nothing feels original or worthy of the time it takes to complete another pointless gathering quest. Stay away from this major disappointment and stay a little richer.
