Aragorn's Quest Wii

User Rating: 7 | The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest WII

The first WB Lord of the Rings game, it is rather safe and generic, but still fun in places. Running around the Shire as young Frodo was fun, as were the extra scenes with Sam. Playing as Aragorn was good as usual, although the controls for the Wii are annoying and level design a bit bland.

Story - 8, Lord of the Rings story yet again picked into pieces, but the extra Shire scenes make up for it a bit.

Gameplay - 6, generic.

Visuals - 5, not good for 7th gen consoles. Very dull.

Music - 8, great as with all Lord of the Rings games.

Controls - 5, really get sick of the sword-swinging Wiimote.

Originality - 6, some good original parts but in essence just another Lord of the Rings game.

Characters - 9, seeing young Elanor and Frodo was great and conversations with Sam were too. Could have used some more of the other characters.

Fun - 6, a good game, but controls and some all-too-familiar gameplay lets it down.

Overall - 6.6
