A fun game until you realize you need Oracle of Seasons to really pass it easily.

This game disappoints me greatly.
Don't get me wrong, I had a lot of fun playing this game just like I did in Oracle of Seasons, but then I got to the end and once again realized that this game sucks unless you get all the hidden goodies from the other games codes.
I used one code from Seasons when I played this and got the special ending where you have to fight two extra bosses, the sad part is that I didn't have the Master Sword or the Mirror Shield so it made the final two fights impossible. You have to have this stuff to survive 3 final bosses in a row. They don't even let you go and buy more potion, so if you use it up on the first boss you are totally boned by the third boss. Also if you die, you start with just half of your heart containers. No good.

BEST MOMENT: Killing the 7th boss by switching with it, with the switch hook and having it hit itself.

WORST MOMENT: The realization that this game is so flawed that you have to own the other game and trade codes between each other to make it really that fun.

FINAL JUDGEMENT: I think this game would have got a 9+ from me because it's a poor man's version of Ocarina of Time, but it's gimmicky thing with the codes to get your Master Sword and other useful items ruined this game for me. I had to cheat with a Gameshark to even pass this game since it's basically impossible to beat all those bosses in a row without the extra help of the items. Sad, sad and disappointing. I also deducted a lot of points for the midpoint of the game where they MAKE you do a lot of dumb mini-games just to get a key to the Mermaid's Cave. Stupid. Bad job Nintendo. This game is only slightly better than your worst game, Zelda II.
