Simply the best adventure game ever, and it's suitable for players of any age.

Slightly better than Seasons, this is by far the best game I have ever plaid - despite the fact that it's for Gameboy Color.

I'm going for the graphics and the music first. The creators weren't too modest with the graphics and yet they didn't try to do more than they could, and the result was a surprisingly well built game where the looks weren't more important than the game itself. It has simple colors that don't interfere with the gameplay nor do they do any harm for your eyes.

And next, the music: the simply built music can get really catchy at times, excluding some dungeons(or dungeon parts) that just make you want to mute the sounds and finish the dungeon as fast as you can just to get rid of it; however, all of the main dungeons have different music. Altogether, the music is a pleasant addition to an amazing game.

The gameplay is pretty much similar to Link's Awakening's, with some minor improvements: if you liked it, you will most probably like this one too. So you have two weapon slots and a bunch of different weapons available, with almost all of them being necessary in some point of the game, like in previous games. Equipping new weapons is as fast as it was before: they can be changed from the pause menu which also tells you which key items, rings, pieces of heart and essences you own.

Last but not least: the difficulty. Following the format of most Zelda games, Oracle of Ages needs a lot of thinking instead of mindless violence. You can easily spend countless hours doing a simple task and that can get pretty frustrating, however, excluding the bosses there are very few situations where you can lose all your hearts. In addition to that, you usually need a particular tactic for a boss and when you get the hang of it, you definitely won't be able to die more than a few times. Unlike Link's Awakening's 4th dungeon, any dungeon can be completed in any order; there are no mistakes with the designing this time.

Closing words: if you find this game amusing, you should definitely try out Oracle of Seasons too. After you complete Ages, you will get a secret for Seasons. The secret will give you an extra heart and extended storyline. You will also be able to receive minor secrets from all around the game world, to be used in Ages. Like in Ages, after you complete Seasons you will get the major secret to be used in Ages. So you can play either game first and still be able to use the secrets.
Now, what are you waiting for? Go and buy it already!
