It's time for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time review! For the N64!

The story starts out with The Great Deku Tree, sending forth a fairy, named Navi, to go retrieve the young boy, Link, who will one day save the world. So Navi sets out, and finds Link asleep. Once he is woken up, your journey begins.

Before you can go see The Great Deku Tree, you must acquire a sword and a shield, because THIS jerk won't let you pass…Sorry, but like many of you, I bet you wanted to slice him up as well…

So after you purchase your shield, and obtain the Kokiri Sword, which looks more like a dagger, you can now go see The Great Deku Tree. He tells you that evil has been uprising, and that he has been cursed.

So to help The Great Deku Tree, Link must go inside, and defeat the evil that lurks within. This is your first "dungeon," so to speak. It is not very long at all, and it's fairly easy as well.

After you defeat the evil, The Great Deku Tree gives you The Spiritual Stone of the Forest, and now you set out for the other two stones, one of fire, and one of water.

Along your way, you will meet up with townsfolk, Gorons, Zoras, and even Princess Zelda.

After you gather all three stones, Link goes back to town. As he arrives, Princess Zelda rides out on a horse with her guardian. Zelda looks back and throws the Ocarina of Time back at Link. Just then, Ganondorf appears and demands Link to tell him where Zelda went.

Link refuses and gets ready to challenge him. Ganondorf laughs and hurls an evil ball of energy at him, then rides off after Zelda. Once you get back on your feet, Link heads to the Temple of Time, where he sets the three stones at the altar, and plays the Song of Time on his Ocarina.

After that, The Door of Time opens, reveling The Master Sword. As Link pulls it out of its pedestal, he awakens seven years into the future, as adult Link. He meets Rauru…or, I don't know!
How do you pronounce his name? I just call him Bob the Sage. He is one of the Sages who tells you that he needs you to gather the rest of the Sages so they can use their combined power to overtake Ganondorf.

After Link is transported back to The Temple of Time, he is greeted by Shiek, a mysterious character who tells him that the rest of the Sages are in five different temples, and that is where he needs to go to find them.

Okay, as of today, the graphics look really bad, but when this game was first introduced, it was like nothing anyone had ever seen! They were outstanding! So because of that, I have to say, for the time period, the graphics are fantastic!

The controls are pretty much perfect! Move with the analog stick, swing your sword with the B button, and use your items with the C-Stick. The only thing I found a tiny bit irritating was when you use your Slingshot or Bow and Arrow.

I felt like the analog stick was just a BIT, TOO sensitive, but you know what? It doesn't really matter. Back then I doubt you would be thinking about it.

Along with your VERY long main quest, there are also some side quests as well, such as selling different masks, collecting Golden Skulltulas, and killing off Poes. Even though the main game is long and fulfilling, I felt that there weren't that many side quests, which was disappointing.

One new addition that this game introduced to The Legend of Zelda franchise, is that now Link has can ride his horse Epona! You will want to get her, because getting from place to place is a lot faster than on foot!

And even though the land of Hyrule isn't that big in this game, it's still very nice to have Epona.

The boss fights looked incredible, and, they weren't too easy either! I love a good challenge, and that's just what I got from the bosses in Ocarina of Time!

One new creature that I must go over is the ReDead. I hate these monsters so much! They're eerie, creepy, and dangerous! But most of all, I HATE that low-pitched moan they make! I don't know why, but it always gives me the shivers!

The only downside that I found, was that they're weren't too many side quests. I know the N64 had limitations for the amount of data a game cartridge could hold, and maybe I'm just being picky, but hey, it's just my opinion.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is a fantastic game! The graphics, controls, gameplay, game-length, and boss fights are all terrific!

The only downside that I found, was that the number of side quests was a bit too short for my taste.

But overall, this game was just so amazing back in the day, and it's still one of my favorite Zelda games of all time! Now I know I might get slammed for this, but I feel that all the 3D Zelda games up to date, at the time that I speak this, are all equally good.
I haven't played one that just totally blew me away! Twilight Princess was the closest, but it still did not. And that being the case,

this game gets a 4.5/5 with the title of EPIC!!!
