Although many of "The Legend of Zelda" games are very different from each other in the terms of where Link is and what challenges he has to go through in order to save the day, this game is very different because Link just doesn't have to save the day, he has to save an entire world! This world is called Terminus, and it is in grave danger! There is only three days before a deadly moon comes crashing into Terminus, destroying everyone and everything in Terminus! Normally, this wouldn't be such a problem for Link, but he has one major problem: he's not himself lately, and that's literally! A strange creature wearing a deadly mask has made off with Link's Ocarina and his pony Epona! Compounding the problem, he transforms Link into a Deku Scrub! Now Link must team up with an unlikely ally, a fairy named Tatl, who must guide Link until she can get back to her sister and owner, and until he can return to normal. The problem of the situation is explained all too clearly by a familliar face: the Traveling Mask Salesman. But he's not just happy this time around, he has a major concern. One of his masks, Majora's Mask to be precise, has been stolen from him! And Majora's Mask has the ability to corrupt and bend others to the Mask's will, because the Mask has a mind and will of it's own, with incredible powers! And Majora's Mask, is using a friend of Link's, the Skull Kid, into bringing Terminus' moon into crashing down into Terminus! How will Link be able to accomplish this all within three days? Fortunately, Link does not have to face this problem without some help. With the help of some fairies, a squad of kids called the Bomber Squad, Gorons, Zora's, and a cast of several others, Link will discover the way to make things right in the land of Terminus, as well as save it. Link's first task is to get his Ocarina back so that he can find a way to return to normal. Once he gets his Ocarina back, that's when things REALLY get interesting! He plays the Song of Time, and time itself rewinds! Now everything has returned to the first day! Only this time, Link will be able to make much more progress now that he's returned to normal form. But now, he must play it smart. Link must find out how to stop the Moon from crashing down on Terminus, and the only way he can do it is by conquering four temples in the land. Four temples which require very different skills! Link will have to transform into a Deku Scrub, into a Goron, into a Zora, into a Giant, and don several other masks as well in order to accomplish his task! This game features better music, more action, more challenges, and believe it or not, better graphics than "Ocarina of Time!" Plus it introduces (depending on whether one is pro or anti) the famous or infamous Tingle, who provides Link with the maps that detail his ongoing progress! It's a challenging game, and it's definitely an exciting one! One that's made a lot easier by knowing the tricks of a certain song and how by playing it backwards, slows down time. So it's not just an incredible feet in the world of N64 engineering, it's a feet in video game engineering period, and one of sheer brillance! That's why I enjoyed this game! Enough said! ;)
