While I would Not say this is the best Zelda It is still an amazing game.
get me a game however she wanted it to be somewhat educational(oh that just sounds lovely doesn't it). Well after looking at some games she had no idea what to pick and I had no idea what to pick, she asked one of the people who worked there what would be a good game and the game he recommended was this one and so my Mom asked him if it was at all educational and his answer was "yes their is a lot of text to read so you could say that it is educational." So we ended up buying it (well I think everyone knows that this is definitely not an educational game).
After that I started playing it I didn't get very far and ended up quitting cause I was like 7 years old and had no idea what to do so about 8-10 years later (sometime in that time period I believe) I Got the game for the Game boy Advance I finally realized how good it was However I got to the last temple and never finished don't know why. so I ended up getting a super Nintendo and the game and this time I vowed to finish it and I finally did and it was no easy task, The first three temples are excellent pretty much perfect but as you go on it gets much more harder which is fine but some of the temples can get really irritating and one thing that pissed me off about them is you get new armor(or the blue male) on i believe its the 5th temple out of 7, they couldn't give it to you earlier it basically is useless on the last 3 temples cause they are so hard but I guess they did not want them to be extremely hard, and you get the red male on the last temple when you are about to fight Agahim Whats the point of that you only use it for such a short period. but whatever. I'll be honest this Zelda game can get quite annoying sometimes however it's what really turned Zelda, into Zelda, There are a ton of new items in this one a lot more challenging puzzles and overall just a huge innovation from the first two on the Nes and also for the first time they actually start to talk about the background of the story of Zelda.
Some of the reasons I really liked this game was like I said before, the huge amount of item's each item was very different and were used quite a bit throughout the game and most of these items were introduced for the first time and would later be used throughout most of Zelda games, which I think is pretty cool another good thing about this game is the length there is so much to do in this game, whether you are getting new items that aren't found in temples or getting heart pieces you will definitely play this game for quite awhile, another thing I liked about this game is the bosses and the temples most of the bosses were totally different and for me were just perfect for this game, the temples were great too I wouldn't say perfect but very good but also very difficult.
Now I want to talk about the parts of the game that really irritated me I already talked about the armor, and another thing that just irritated me is when you are facing Ganon hes not impossible but he's quite a big challenge and that's fine however there is a part in the battle where part of the floor collapses and if you fall you have to start the whole fight again that's ridiculous, there is no need for that what is the point of that why couldn't you just lose a heart from falling like you usually do, that's one huge thing that just pisses me off about this game, now you are probably thinking well you would just have to stay away from the edges however its a really small room already and once he hits you, you fall back so if your near the edge your done. Other then that though this game is really fun and every Zelda fan should play it, and the ending is really good (for 16 bit).
If you are a Zelda fan this is a must play you can get it off of the Wii's virtual console so get it if you aren't a Zelda
fan you should get it all gamers should play this game in fact all gamers should play any Zelda game. anyways I would say
this is in my top 5 best Snes games.
