I was very surprised when I found out this Spyro was 2 player couch co-op. And while playing it with my husband was not disappointed. The new way to fight was easily adapted and fun. The game in general was easy for avid gamers with some minor challenges on the way. It's mostly about the co-op and simple action. However, the final boss, which you have to kill about 50 times, was extremely hard, which didn't match the rest of the game AT ALL.
The only other down side is they took away the Spyro that we all know and love! Now we have Elijah Wood voicing him and he acts as butt hurt and whiney as Frodo. What happened to the cocky little bastard of a dragon that would save lives and roll his eyes at the stupid stuff his friends would do!? You can't say he's "Grown up" because he's still a really small little purple dragon.
Needless to say we returned it, but it was definitely a good game to play to the end.
