We all knew that The Last of Us wasn't going to REALLY be the greatest game ever didn't we? All those 10/10's seemed silly after the same reviewers complained in the same review. I went into this game with slightly lower expectations and found it to be extremely good in storytelling, maybe the best storytelling I've ever seen in a game. The gameplay however is kinda meh. It starts to get repetitive after around 6 hours, water = crate, dead end = ladders and so on. The combat is repetitive too, lots of sneaking and strangling. BUT that's not what this game is about! This game is a story with added gameplay, I'm not usually a fan of these but I love zombies and all those 10's got me excited, and to tell the truth I'm not disappointed in my purchase in the slightest. If you take the game for what it is then you will love it, it does what it does brilliantly. It doesn't do some things though, and the replay value is virtually non existent. Overall I think The Last of Us deserves 8.5/10 but I can see why some people would rate it slightly higher, and some slightly lower, for the reasons I've explained here. It is however, NO WAY, a 10/10 game.
