I gotta start by saying, I don't understand why GameSpot would be so petty in finding flaws with Skyrim. Do they honestly believe Skyrim is only a .5 rating better than COD or BF 3? Secondly, I disagree the graphics are outdated. Sure, they're not as good as say UnCharted, but I haven't seen any framerate drops, and it seems those are popping up all over nowadays. (see: Rage) Also, if you honestly think graphics are what make the Elder Scrolls games amazing, you clearly have been missing out on the bigger picture. Skyrim is a cold and enchanted land where getting from point A to point B is far from your objective. Actually, when I try to go to point B, I usually end up at point C or D or E on the opposite side of where I intended to go. Discovering every cave, hideout or town is just as rewarding as completing a quest. It's funny because me and 2 friends started the game at the same time and are all 3 in very different places in the game. The open-endness of Skyrim is both intimidating at first, and really gives you a sense of control. Building up skills and the new perk system is perfect, and the new menu interface is much easier to navigate than the one used in Oblivion. If you played Bethesda's other RPG, Fallout 3, you will see influences all over Skyrim pulled from the Wasteland. One thing I highly recommend is buying the game guide with game.
