Here's the deal, most of you have been waiting for this for the last 5 years such as myself. In the last few months we have got a rake of titles of which there has been much anticipation. This game is absolutely amazing, whatever faults you may find in it can not take away from how good it is. This is better than Oblivion, that in itself is an amazing accomplishment. I know 9.0 is a respectable score...but here's my problem Gears of War 3 which was very good but ultimately a disappointment purely centred around the fact that they didn't finish the series off but chose to leave it open for more sequels. It is ranked at a 9.5. Is Gears of War 3 a better game then Skyrim? Bare in mind I will be playing Gears 3 for many years to come, its fantastic and I'm a massive fan of the series. The answer is no, in many ways but ultimately in what matters most it is an inferior game. What matters most is enjoyability. I will play Skyrim many more hours than I ever will Gears 3. Not just because it has a longer campaign but because it is more enjoyable. Here's the deal, if Super Mario Galaxy and Gta 4 (a wholely unenjoyable experience) deserved a 10.0 then so does this game. Ranking this game alongside Gears 3, Fifa 12 and behind something like Dark Souls is an insult to the industry, the art form and every second of the 5 years it has taken to make this masterpiece. Cop on Gamespot!
