I didn't know anything about TES's until i bought Oblivion GOTYE many years ago. I had my eyes on Oblivion for sometime and to be honest, when i bought it, i fell in love with it instantly. I wasted so many hours of my life with that game and no matter how many times i completed it, i was always asking myself one simple question, are they going to make another one.
Then in due time, the announcment of Skyrim was made. The trailers, the style, the graphics, everything about it looked stunning. When i finally got my hands on a copy which at the time, wasn't the GOTYE, i yet again, wasted countless hours of my life playing it.
However, with Skyrim, i found it difficult to get in too, i mostly hated the game at first, it wasn't what i was used too. But over time, i began to enjoy it, love it and consider it to be one of a few brilliant games that are beyond perfection.
The story might not be a strong one, but its still good none the less to fight off dragons and to explore the world on foot or by horse. The graphics are beautiful with every dungeon, fort, house being different to one another. Everything has a story to it, even if its simple.
Character combat has improved and to be able to weild two weapons be it both being magic, both being swords or one of both was something new and enjoyable. I honestly felt that i had more of a connection to my character and my characters preseance to the world unlike in Oblivion. After all, you are Dragon born, a person who can kill a dragon and take its soul after death.
Magic might be limited in this game, but dragon powers or shouts are awesome.
All in all, this game is brilliant. I still play it even today, specially on the PC for its mods and this game, this masterpeace is something i would recommend everyone to buy, play and to enjoy
