Thrill or Spill?

So, before I write this review I want to say that this is a review with ALL of the patches took into consideration. This isn't a review done without the patches downloaded.

Well, when I first started up the game. It boots up with us discovering the game world which is Ibiza. Where a 'party' is being held. This is where we first encounter the character models. And by god are they awful. The characters look very stiff and the characters faces want to make you laugh more than take them seriously. Additionally the voice acting is horrid. The conversations these characters make are very cheesy. Especially when you hear them near enough all the time during the game. (Cut scenes, Race starts .etc.) but however after a while you kind of get used to these voices. But not in a good way. But instead in a very average way.

But does this make the game bad? Of course not! Firstly the driving is very smooth and nice. With a varied amount of car views. Additionally there is alot of content here. This game isn't just about doing races, it's alot more than that as the whole world is open for you to explore if its either driving a Car or motorcycle the world is great to explore (Even though there is a lack of pedestrians anywhere in the game). There is also alot of customization in this game. You can customise cars, your avatar, your home. Alot of the things you see in this game will be there for you to customise and enjoy.

A large amount of this game is about being connected to what Atari call TDU LIFE. Which is constantly being connected to an online world. When driving around this world you will always see another driver in another car. And you can also challenge any driver you pass to a race! Facebook groups in a car game? Looks like it as TDU2 introduces a clan type system call 'Clubs' where you are able to join a group of people who have either certain racing abilities or have an interest in a certain vehicle you like. In these 'clubs' you are able to keep your car in a showcase where the rest of the club can check out your car. And your 'club' can also challenge other clubs.

All these features make TDU2 a really nice racing sim. Even though the Characters are horrible and car damage is extremely unrealistic. Looking through these problems will allow you to uncover a hidden gem which is awaiting to be discovered.
