The Long Awaited Anticipation...

User Rating: 10 | Tales of Phantasia SNES
I have played the SNES version of Tales of Phantasia, and the graphics of this game for that time period and game system are completely breath taking! Not to mention the fact that they have live voices! When I played this game for the first time it was sort of difficult to master, but about an hour or so later it became very easy to master. Besides the gameplay, storyline, graphics, and voice acting the emotion in the game is very touching in parts, for instance like the very beginning when the village is completely destroyed and everyone dies, everything the main character and sub main character says could bring tears to some peoples eyes. When you progress through the game you begin to notice that the bosses get unbelievably difficult and sometimes almost impossible. Dahos is one of those bosses, since anything he does could almost kill you in no time, if you don't have the right gear on or at a level that is significant enough to win the fight.

With the GBA version of Tales of Phantasia coming out, some positive and negative attributes are present. The good things about its release is the fact that it's finally going to be in English, another wonderful characteristic is the fact that the voices seem to be dubbed, there seems to be some special added features, and the graphics are enhanced with half the Play Station model and SNES I suspect. The negative things would be most likely the music, it seems to have lost some of its quality on the GBA version, but really the music doesn't totally set the biggest standards for if a game is good or not. I would recommend this game to anyone!
