this game is pretty good, but whatever one may think, the original review for this game was FAR too harsh.
the battle system was interesting to say the least. It got a little hectic at times but the 2d real time fighting where you control multiple characters was fun, and was somewhat reminiscent of secret of mana but perhaps a little less orderly. The style that went along with it was also reminiscent of that as it was a colorful anime-influenced title.
The music was also pretty good, having it's on and off tracks, but some really stuck out with me.
The plot was likely forgettable in the end, but few plots are truly memorable, from what i recall it still kept me going back when i originally played the game.
Why the original review saw it fit to give the review a 4.9 when far far worse games get far better ratings is beyond me. I've seen odd out place reviews before, but in this case, the other websites as well as the user reviews tell a much different story and in this case the majority speaks volumes. This game is much better than a 4.9, as future tales popularity and the other vocal users and gaming sites have shown and i urge anyone who reads this to give this game a try along with the other tales series, as it is a promising title and deserves a rating more appropriately rounded to what i gave it (maybe more maybe less of course).
