Though flawed, it's still one of the best action shooters for the PS.

Syphon Filter 3 is the first shooter I played on the PS and the story and gameplay hooked me immediately. The very first mission puts you in the part of a cool sniper and then breaks off into an intense escape sequence via hot gun-toting scenarios down a building, and then I go WOW! I feel like the hero from a John Woo film!

Although the game lets you alternate roles between Gabe Logan, your main hero, and a female spy counterpart, they don't vary much in terms of control tactics. Another thing is, most of the time you may find yourself replaying a certain part over and over till you get it right given the slightly unbalanced checkpoint save system. However, a major strong point of the game is the interesting variety of weapons and gadgets you can use against your foes which lets you decide how you want to play mostly, and also, gameplay is intense and action-packed evenly throughout, so this is definitely one of the best shooters in my list on the PS.
