Super Smash Bros. Legacy

User Rating: 9 | Super Smash Bros. N64

Punching Pikachu Since 1999

Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo 64 is an awesome classic to revisit time and time again. The single-player campaign is challenging yet simple, but the multiplayer experience is where this game shines. Both audio and visual content reflect the Nintendo franchise prior to and during the fifth generation of gaming. Hidden content such as characters, stages, and options can be unlocked within a short amount of time. Whether you are alone or with friends, Super Smash Bros. can give you hours of entertainment and excitement.

My Thoughts

I believe Super Smash Bros. is deserving of a nine out of ten rating. The single-player campaign was enjoyable albeit redundant, and I found the Break the Targets and Board the Platforms modes challenging with certain characters. The stages are memorable and unique, coupled with distinct tunes for each that best represent the Nintendo franchise (i.e. the Hyrule Castle stage playing a remix of the overworld theme from The Legend of Zelda series). I was able to unlock all the additional, hidden content in about four or five hours after starting the game. Super Smash Bros. remains a great game for me to play and pass the time especially with family or friends.
