Wow..... Just Wow...

User Rating: 10 | Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars SNES
Okay, to start I have to say: PLAY THIS GAME!!! Now to the review.

Gameplay: Amazing, being an RPG, this game keeps you on your toes. It was the first game to make the twitch controlled blocks and etc. And even when you’re not in a battle, jumping around is tons of fun. Good puzzles, though most are pretty easy. The mini games are great fun, I have played each mini game more than 10 times. Lots of depth and replay value. One of the best RPGs in the NES SNES era, along with Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger. The difficulty is also just right, the game went along well, I didn’t get stuck often, but it wasn’t so easy that I could just blow through, it did require some extra leveling up for those bosses (especially for the last one) which was good, so you feel like you accomplished something great when you beat the game.

Graphics: Great graphics, really made the isometric design look fully 3D. Very good, especially for the time when it was released, especially the fluff of Mallow the little marshmallow. Looks great.

Sound: Typical Mario noises and music, plus good original music (not as hummable, but still good). There isn’t a whole lot more to say, the sound quality was top notch. No voice overs (of course) so for the game you have to read text, but the dialogue is snappy and humorous. When I went through it for the second time I got to laugh at all the jokes I missed the first time through.

Value: Great value, there is just so much replay value, from jumping on an enemy 100 times consecutively, to getting the best score in a mini game, or to going through the game a second time to see whatcha missed. The 40 to 100 hours put into the game is true, I went through it twice, and had a lot more fun the second time.

Tilt: I don’t know why I would tilt this game down at all, it is just so much fun and an overall great experience.

Conclusion: Get this game, it is completely worth the money. And if you can’t find it for the SNES, you will definitely download onto your WII, right? Right.
