This was a great pick for the Virtual Console!
The controls were smooth except that sometimes Mario would skid a bit after running but thats not a problem just don't run then.
Wii Virtual Console has always made NES games not as nostalgic as the others as of the dark screen, shake of the screen and Wii Menu glitch. But Super Mario Bros manages to use it strengths to outweight this. It has many hidden secrets like hidden 1-up mushroom blocks, the warp zone and secret areas through warp pipes. The 32 action packed levels make this a great game for Virtual Console so overall, superbly brilliant choice of a game.
