For the 'monster kill!' players of SMB.

When I bought this game,I thought that it would put my SMB skills to the test...well it does!
Being released in 1986 in Japan, the Nintendo of America gave the game a run. The men there thought the game was too hard and looked like the same like the first. They thought that the game would bring the SMB fanbase down too the max. So they didn't release it in America; if this game wasn't released in America, then the SMB franchise would probally wouldn't be as big as it is today!
There are a lot of people who say that this game would have not ruined the franchise because SMB3 was great, so why not this one? they would say, while others say that hard games are considered "bad" because of the difficulty.
Well anyway, on to the game. It takes place about a year after the first invasion of the mushroom kingdom, but the people (or mushroom guys) thought of remodeling the kingdom with bigger gaps and more blocks to kill whoever tried to get into it! Well that didn't work out, as Bowser (King Koopa) got in and took over the place! Damn...Bowser is really crafty in that big shell of his! along with all the other enemies!
alot of things added to the game were warp-zones that bring you backwards, Platforms that have little mushrooms connected together, red piranha plants that kill you while you're on top of the pipe, wind-gusts that blow you off you're feet and the infamous poison mushroom that kill you (or brings you down to small Mario if you're big Mario) when you touch it. Not to forget to tell you about the slightly-tweeked graphics in the game (new floors, new mushrooms, animations). But the best thing added to the game was the different abilities that Mario and Luigi had. Mario was the same Mario from the first game and Luigi with higher jumping but can't slow down (skid down) as fast as Mario. So now, we have a quick stopper who can't jump high, and a high jumper who slides around like an ice cube! Sounds reasonable but I have and always played as Mario. One time playing as Luigi, I jumped over the flag pole and kept running right to find a backwards warp-zone (Great, the best secret ever in the game is actually a bad one).
even though this game wasn't released in America, it actually spawned a lot of the great things about Mario. Like the cover of the Famicom Cartridge, Mario is holding up two fingers to resemble that it was the second game, but it actually made it the "V for Victory" that Mario did in SM64 after getting a star and has also appeared in many other Mario games as well. Also the Poison Mushroom has appeared in many games as well too!
You see, even though it wasn't released in America, it feels like it has always been there in our hearts.

9/10 RIP JIMI HENDRIX
