Wow, just a bit on the hard side.

And when I say just a bit, I mean this game is really freakin' hard.

Gameplay: 24/30 Yes, Mario is back in the same platforming greatness that he was in the first one, but there is 1 thing that brought this game down.

It is just too hard.

I know that a lot of people will say that just because a game is hard doesn't mean it sucks, and to a certain point, those people are right. This game just crossed the line. This is, easily, the hardest game that requires skill that I've ever played. The reason I say that is because there are plenty of games that I can't complete (mainly RPGs/Zelda games) because I have no idea what to do or where to go.

Back on topic, it seemed as if they found new things to put in the original Mario, like the red piranahs, the wind, the poison mushrooms and the bloopers OUTSIDE of the water (wtf?). In other words, everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING added in this game seemed to have only one purpose: To make this game as hard as it could be. Congratulations on making one of the hardest games ever made, Nintendo.

Graphics: 10.5/15 Some of the background visuals are improved, the mushroom has a face now, but that's about it as far as improvements on the original go. Other than that, it looks exactly the same, except all of the additions kinda made the graphics worse, if you ask me, especially when the wind comes to try and mess me up. Not only does it do that, but it messes up the game's graphics and it makes it look terrible in comparison to the first Mario adventure.

Sound: 6/10 They couldn't add new music? Wow. Just wow. I love the Mario theme song, but I can only listen to it so many times.

Value: 10.5/15 When it comes to the classic Mario platformers on the NES, out of this SMB, SMB2, and SMB3, this is definitely the worst. And being that it's worse than SMB, wouldn't you wanna play that instead of SMB: LL, knowing that they're basically the exact same game?

Tilt: 21/30 This had the potential to be another one of the NES's greatest games and one of the greatest games of all time, but instead it was a remake of one that already filled this position with levels that are near-impossible.

Overall: 72/100 = 7.2/10 = 7.0/10

I'm not saying it's horrible, but when a game frustrates me to no end, I can't help but have a bitter feeling towards it after playing it.
