State Of Emergency For PS2.

This game is incredibly gory. You can shoot someone's head off, then grab it and whack people with it. While this may excite others, it may make some feel sick to their stomachs. You know you have killed someone when you see the letters ''KO'' come up on your screen. This means they will not get up and attack you any more. Also, there are red arrows above people who are chasing you. This helps you recognize the difference between friends and enemies (if your into that sort of stuff).

State of Emergency is made by the same people as Grand Theft Auto 3. It is basically a game of riot and craziness. Sometimes a hundred or so people on screen at once running around crazily. It is one of the most insane and crazy game I have ever set my pretty little eyes on.

Gameplay : Gameplay consists of 2 different modes: Chaos mode and Revolution mode. Revolution mode is the story type mode and Chaos mode is the arcade type mode. Revolution mode is very, very, very repetitive. All the missions are something like protect this, escort him, kill them, and so on. The missions do not vary much. This makes the game quite boring. In Chaos mode you get points for destruction, and it is no where near as repetitive as Revolution mode. Repetition is my major gripe of this game. If you want to add some extra fun to this game, put on the infinite ammo code and just gun down everyone. You have quite a load to select from here. You have a Pistol, Uzi, AK-47 Kalashnikov, Shotgun, M16 Assault Rifle, Mini-Gun, Grenade Launcher, Rocket Launcher, Tear Gas Launcher, Flame-Thrower, Grenades, Molotov Cocktails, a Tazer, Pepper Spray, Batons, Baseball Bats, Meat Cleavers, Swords, Pipes, Benches, Plants, Tables, Traffic Cones, Trash cans, Debris, Signs, and so much more. Trust me on this one.

The story in this game does not have much depth, but I really like it. It is 2035 and a shady corporation has taken over the government and you are a member of a freedom group out to stop the corporation. Simple, but it does it.

The controls are pretty good. They feel comfortable and are not confusing. They are pretty standard for action game controls but they do the job good. No confusion in the controls at all.

Graphics : The graphics are very cartoonish, which is odd for such a violent game. You would think a violent game would have darker graphics but these are light and cartoonish. It is not a bad thing though, I think they game wouldn't be as good if it had dark graphics. The graphics are overall very good.

Sound : Pretty standard music for an action game. Nothing too exceptional, but average none the less. The shots of guns and cries of your victims are excellent as well. The sound in this game are basically average.

I would say that this game is pretty darn hard. Especially when you get to the last area. It isn't the hardest game around, but is still pretty darn hard. It gets tough when theres 20 corporation workers and gangsters around you beating you up and shooting you and stuff. This is overall a pretty darn hard game.

Once you beat Revolution mode, you can always play Chaos mode, but there is no two player mode so it gets kind of boring after you beat it.

This game is a must have for action gamers. It is incredibly fun, and you will probably like it. It's a keeper.

Very, very, very fun, but gets very, very, very repetitive (just like that last sentence!!)
