To buy or not to buy, this is the question

User Rating: 7 | Star Wars: The Force Unleashed PSP
Not being a fan of Star Wars games, I can honestly say, that this is the only one I have been excited about buying, ever since it was announced.

This is the first version I have played (PS3 version yet to play), so I was hoping that it would live up to the hype and to a certain extent, it does.

However, I didn't think that it was a very strong storyline and it was just trying to create another game for the sake of it.

Sound
I thought the sound was very good, the light-sabre effects sounded excellent, especially in closed headphones. The voice acting was fairly good, although the emperors voice let it down. The sounds of the ships as the flew through space were spot on.

Graphics
The lighting was very good, as good as a PSP could get I suppose, although due to the fact that they tried to tap into as much processing power on the PSP as they possibly could, this affected loading and stopped the flow of gameplay, especially when a final boss cinematic scene was impaired by the freezing to load the final few seconds.

Gameplay
When it came down to it, it was basically just a button mashing game. I found that, during the boss battles, I could just get them into a corner and go mental with the light-sabre and this would be the most effective and easy way to defeat them.

Final thoughts
As the PSP version does offer some replay value to it, I think if you're a fan of the Star Wars series, then it would be a satisfying game to buy and have some fun with your friends in the multi-player. But, a God of War game this is not. The camera angles and loading times really affected the flow of the game and inturn, stopped me from really getting immersed in it.
