Star Wars: Battlefront II, I am loving this game. Its not perfect, but very fun to play & holds up pretty well for a Playstation 2 game. Ive read many reviews for this game, and I have never played the first game, but was curious about what Battlefront was all about. I am not really a fan of shooting games, but huge a fan of Episodes 1-6. This game features battles on many of the planets that we visit from the movies and even space battles over the planets. You can pick from 4 different armies in the conquest mode, which is the main mode that I play the most. You have the Republic, the Separatist, the Empire & the Rebellion. All factions from the 6 main movies. In conquest mode the game is about taking over the galaxy. You start out with 3 planets under your jurisdiction depending on what faction you choose to fight for or with. Your goal is to take over all 11 planets in the system. You start out with basic soldier class, but as you win more land and space battles you are giving the ability to add additional special soldiers to your army. Each army gets about 7 or 8 different types of soldiers. There are even chances to play for heroes and villains from the films. In my opinion they should have had Qui Gon Jinn from episode 1 and Padme Amidala from episode 2 in this game as heroes instead of the teal female jedi & the jedi with the long head. For some reason I cant think of their names, but Qui Gon and Padme were way more important to the Star Wars story then these 2 heroes. All the other heroes and villain roster was perfect. We see Luke Skywalker, Count Dooku, Han Solo, Darth Maul, Boba Fett & Obi Wan in this game. The planet choices in the game are also very good choices as well, but there were a few things I would change around to make this game perfect. Take way asteroid location and add a Deathstar planet, Add Bespin, I think those were the main two locations from the films that were missing from the Galactic Conquest mode, that I love playing. I would love to see this game on the Playstation 3 or the Playstation 4 with high quality visuals and sound, because other than a great story about fairytale & relationships, Star Wars is about the audio and sound of the movies. The music choices of this game were amazing and really made me feel like I was a soldier on the movies. Even though the game is only about the battles of the films, the game does a great job of making you feel like you are in a Star Wars movie. if they can make a Playstation 4 Battlefront game with bigger battle fields, every planet from the 6 films, more star fighters during the space battles & yes Padme and Qui Gon as heroes that would be a 10 game for me. Again I must say this game is really great, but not perfect due to the reasons I have mentioned in this review. If you have a Playstation 2 and are a fan of Episodes 1-6 of the Star Wars films, do yourself a favor and GET THIS GAME.
