The new features bring something new to the table for Star Wars Battlefront II.
Gameplay - We all know that the BF2 is a shooter game, 1st or 3rd person depending on how you want it. Aside from the Space Battles and Jedi the Gameplay is pretty similar. Like the original Battlefront you had to capture CP's and defend them as well, and the winning objective's are the same except in the Campaign mode. The Space Battle's like I mentioned give BF2 a new twist. It's fast, intense, and fun. What's great is that each of the four faction's you play have thier own vechicles from the movies, and each have their own speed, arnament , and defense. The Classes range from a Scout fighter to a Transport ship. There are a few modes to play with Space battle's. One is Assault where the objective is too destroy the critical parts of the Enemy Ship, doing so you earn points, other that can be destroyed are fighters and frigates and each earn you a different amount of points so it adds some variety. The Second would be Capture the Flag, which the flag is in the middle of the space battle and once you get it your supposed to return it to the enemy space ship earning you some points. The Ground Battle's are the same as I said, Each faction has a trooper class from the soldier class to the Special Class, Each having their own strengths and weaknesses. The Jedi Feature allows for the player to play as a Jedi when certian objectives have been meant. Each has their own Jedi that we all know and love. The Rise of the Empire Campaign is what can be considered the story mode of BF2 with some new twists. At first you play as the Clones then the Empire, Unfortunately no CIS or Rebels. Galactic Conquest has gotten a new look, making seem more like a Galactic Chess game, the Objective it too take every planet under your control, winning battles give you credits which you can use to buy bonuses and troops. I never played online so I don't know much about it, but splitscreen allows you and a friend to play with or against each other, so it adds some more excitement, but the game is too easy so it does lose some interest at times.
Graphics - Well the graphics have been sharpened up a bit since the original battlefront and the levels look amazing. Some Levels such as the Felucia level, will let you see such beautiful scenery.
Sound - John Williams soundtrack is just incredible, and the game has them, the Music can give you some inspiration, when in a tight spot, I give the Sound a 10/10.
Value - Well I love the original Battlefront and I like this one a bit better and I can be playing this game for a long time.
Tilt - well I love Battlefront 2, the new features allow better playing, though I never play online the splitscreen can be enjoying. I LOVE IT!!!!
