Many cases of bizarre murders have been springing up in the mountanous region around Raccoon City. The victims appear to have been eaten alive. S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team have been dispatched to investigate the occurances. Before their investiagtion could begin, a problem with the engine of their helicopter forces the team to land.

The team survived their crash, but were now crippled with the loss of their weapons and equipment. During exploring their surroundings, the team found a military jeep. The occupants were murdered brutally. Bravo Captain, Enrico Marini, ordered his men to find the only suspcant you everect of these deaths - former military man, and now criminal, Billy Coen. Instead, they found a nightmare that threatened to consume them all.
