This is one game that should be given a shrine for how excelent it is!

User Rating: 10 | Star Ocean: Till the End of Time - Director's Cut PS2
Star Ocean 3 is a game that was overlooked and should not have been at all. The game is 2 discs and does not let you down in any aspect during the course of the game.

The game develops its story line in the best ways and is always introducing newer and harder enemies for each area.
Basically a 19 year old by the name of Fayt Leingod is on vacation when a rogue army attacks the planet of Hyda. The attack separates Fayt from his parents and his childhood friend Sophia. Now on a planet that is still developing, currently living in 16th - 17th century life style, Fayt must find a way off the planet and search the galaxy for all those he lost that are dear to him. However, in the process, Fayt begins to discover that he is more involved in the attack on Hyda then he could of possibly imagined.

Gameplay is always fun. You can rotate the camera as you run around and while doing so your map fills in, in the lower right hand side of the screen.
You run into enemies roaming around(there are many who rush you as well)
The character system is great. You have your weapon, armor, and 2 accessory slots.
For battle, you can equip 4 attacks; 2 for the X button and 2 for the O button
The differences are as follows:
(X) S: short range attack with the X button
(X) L: long range attack with X button
(O)S: short range fierce attack with O button
(O)L: long range fierce attack with O button
All characters are customizable like this, each having unique skills. "Supports" can also be attached which aid you in battle.

Battles are free roaming when you enter them.

Whats cool is your party does not have to have Fayt in it. You can have any three characters, choose who you control, set battle formations, set a leader, and choose how the CPU controlled characters act in battle. In battle if you die, you assume control of one of the 2 remaining characters

On a less revealing note...the game has a good variety of weapons, armor, and accessories to which most can be improved and new ones can be created with the invention system. This is only accessible at a certain point in the game though...but not to far so dont worry. You can hire inventors during the game to help you create more unique items as well.

The level up system is great because you can exceed level 100, heck even 200! Plus you obtain skill points as well to further increase HP,MP,Attack, and Defence

there is also a character battle game, but you have to obtain something first to play it...

Graphics, sound, and controls, can be all summed up right now. Simple and great.

Overall its one A-mazing game. It is a long, addicting, challenging adventure that in my opinion doesnt go bad anywhere in the game.
