In my opinion, Spyro Year of the Dragon is the best spyro game yet.

The good parts of this game is the gameplay, again, if you have liked the spyro gameplay in the past, then you will love this one gameplay wise. In this spyro game, you can play as more than just spyro, you can play as sparx [the dragonfly], and all of his buddies that he meats in the game, the controls of those characters work out just fine. This game is also a big challenge to complete 100%, to complete this 100%, you need to collect all 150 dragon eggs spreaded out in the area and there are many hidden in a level, in the central roaming area where the portals are to go to a level, this game can keep you looking for awhile. The story is pretty good, this sorcerer captures 150 baby dragon eggs and it is up to spyro to collect all of them and defeat the sorcerer. This game has a lot of humor into it, there are funny dialouge, and at the end of the game, you find out that moneybags [the guy who you pay to have certain part of levels become reachable] is just spamming you for your money, and you get to ram his butt and get all your gems back. In conclusion to the 100% clear. You even have to collect all the gems in levels and the whole world, which can be a lot harder than finding the eggs. Also in this game, you can do more than just walk around and kill enemies, there is a level where you can skateboard and collect gems and even dragon eggs. Some of the characters from the previous spyro games come back which makes a sequel pretty cool. The bad parts of this game is that getting some of the eggs can be so frustrating, it might make you bored looking or you can get so mad, you'll throw the controller, same goes with getting all the gems. Overall, this spyro game is my favorite out of all the ones I have played in my lifetime.
