Really short but pretty sweet Spider-Man game.

I loved this game, and this summer I'm going retro, so I'm revisiting some games from my childhood, I don't think this particular game holds up all that well and recent Spider-Man games have been better including the movie based Spider-Man 2 game, the problems are the usual, primarily the camera, it is not broken, but sometimes it makes it difficult to determine jumping distances and can sometimes hide cheap death traps that kill you instantly, though the swinging ability can save you from falling to your death sometimes. Spider-Man is kind of a wimp here, the enemies are really powerful and if they gang up on you, you're in trouble, there's no blocking button, you can create a shield around you, that really sucks up the web dispensers you've collected. Combat is pretty lame, though the boss fights are the highlights, some are a bit annoying, like the Carnage fight, which is the hardest, unless you want to use the cheap methode that takes forever, the final boss is kind of a disappointment, you don't fight him, you just have to run away from him. It's not just button mashing and swinging all over the place, there are some minor puzzles and chase missions among others. Fans of Spider-Man and Marvel in general are gonna find much to enjoy here, not just in terms of characters that appear, there's The Punisher, Daredevil and Black Cat to name a few, but there's also hidden comic book covers throughout the game which you could collect, and it needs some replay value, because the game should take you around 3 hours, probably less than that to complete, depending on which difficulty you choose, the Kid Mode removes the toughest challenges. Completing the game gives you new costumes and stuff like that. Voice acting is prety good, with talents like Rino Romano (Batman in "The Batman", Jennifer Hale and Dee Bradley Baker. I like this Spider-Man game, it's not perfect, it's really short, but if you like the character try to find a copy.
