Pretty fun, short and lacking superhero video game.

Even though it has the same name of the 2002 Spider-Man movie, Spider-Man the game is a lot different. There will be a lot of places you don't even remember from the movie, enemies that weren't there, etc. I guess they were just trying to extend the game but they could have put more recognizable parts in it.

The gameplay is pretty iffy. The combat is certainly not user friendly. It is unbelievable hard to master combos, let alone try to do them once. Combat is unbalanced and Spider-Man seems a lot weeker than he is. The web moments are great and a lot of the times you'll jut play the game to swing around New York city. The city is huge and you can land on almost every building and fight off thugs but the city should've actually been a bit bigger and you don't have the freedom to go on flat ground like you do in Spider-Man 2. The bosses are hard, but pretty fun to fight.

The music can get incredibly repetitive and it's hardly even real Spider-Man music but the voice acting is top notch. Too bad not all of the roles looked like they did, and even sounded like in the movie.

The character models are very impressive and the visuals are about equal on all of the systems. The real only flaws with the graphics is that some level design gets repetitive and a lot of the character models and other parts hardly look in comparison to the movie.

The game is not long at all, nor will it keep you hooked for too long but web-slinging is very fun and never really gets tiring. But that's not saying you'll play this game everyday.
