THE GRAPHICS: 9/10
Sonic the Hedgehog 4 EP1 is one of the best looking IPhone games to date. The backgrounds are very nice looking. Sonic, however is not 100%. He looks good, and moves very well, but when winning a boss, he waves his fist (instead of waving his index finger). Other than that, the graphics are well done.
THE GAMEPLAY: 10/10
The gameplay is excellent, even with very limited framerate drops. The homing attack is a nice touch, and it's not required unless you want to get to shortcuts. Sonic moves like he should: fast. The multiple levels will keep you entertained. The Chaos Emeralds add another 2 hours to the 3-hour game anyway.
THE SOUND: 10/10
The sound is exellent, with all of the genesis-sounding music and the original sounds. 'Nuff said.
THE VERDICT: 10/10
This game should (and will) please any Sonic fans. The graphics, sound, and gameplay are all perfect. $10.00 seems like much, but it's totally worth it.
