The Best Sonic to Date is as perfect as ever on the Wii!
Everything remains the same from the previous version. The 2 player, the single player, and even the speed and joy, it is all intact here.
What I love best about Sonic 2, is the fact that everything works together marvelously. The nicely sized levels, filled with bright and vivid colors, and packed with the, perhaps most memorable soundtrack to date, makes it my favorite yet. The Wii version, fortunately keeps all of this. I was utterly surprised when I got it actually. I hadn't played it in many years.
One of the minor flaws, is that the Wii version seems to translate everything over, including several bouts of slowdown. I was a bit disappointed when I noticed that I can go super fast but when there are 150 coins vanishing once I hit an enemy and Sonic takes three second to finally hit the ground. But apart from this there really isnt much negative.
Ultimately the ability to still play two player on the version, using either the Classic Controller or the Wii Remote itself, (even co-op Tails and Sonic), this is one of the best Sonic VC games to date. I suggest it for all to get.
