Although the controls have been fixed, it doesn't help the monotony of the game.

User Rating: 4.5 | Sonic and the Black Knight WII
Sonic and the Black Knight is the sequal to Sonic and the Secret Rings, although neither of the stories relate to each other. The game was okay, the main problems were the controls were frustrating and the voice acting sucked.

And now the sequel is out. How did it turn out? Let's find out.

The story starts out with a cutscene that looks amazing. Merlina, this girl, is being chased by the Black Knight. She summons Sonic(chili dogs!), who defeats the Black Knight's minions. He trys to go after the Black Knight, but Merlina stops him and teleports away.

The game goes into storybook format. These cutscenes are skippable, which is a good thing. You find out the Black Knight is actually King Arthur and he is immortal as long as he carries the Scabbard of Excalibur.

So, now Sonic begins his adventure. As you may have noticed, the controls have been fixed from Secret Rings. To move, use the joystick on the nunchuk, and press A to move.

Sonic also has a sword, which he uses to attack. This is the main reason that people don't like this game. The game gets monotonous because there are so many enemies and your arms will get tired.

The graphics look well done, like all Sonic games. Who says the Wii sucks when it comes to graphics?

The game runs on a mission system, where you have to complete missions in a stage to complete it. Sometimes they stay vague on what you have to do(especially on one level.)

The game is also super short. It only took me an hour to get to King Arthur, who I still have yet to beat.

I have to say, this time, the voice acting was pretty good, which is a step forward from Secret Rings, although Jason Griffith is still off the wall with Sonic.

THE VERDICT!

Sonic and the Black Knight is not that good. I felt that Sonic and the Secret Rings was a step forward, and Unleashed was a half step forward, but Black Knight was 2 steps back. While the graphics, controls, and voice acting save this from being a terrible game, the monotonous gameplay and the length of this game drown out the fun factor. I seriously don't get why people like this game.
