3 things about this game. It's too easy, too short, and too simple. What an awful mixture!

Lemme start off by saying this: I am a hard-core Sonic fan! I have loved Sonic games sense I was in 3rd grade. I'm sure it's safe to say that this is absolutely the WORST Sonic game I have ever played! I am dead serious.

The game-play is WAY to simple. Most of the time you can only go forwards or backwards almost like a 2D side-scroller, only it teases you with the fact that the graphics are 3D and the camera is behind you most of the time. Also, in this game, enemies are a total joke! It takes 1 simple swing of the wii remote or a few homing attacks and the enemies are dead! In fact, you can just jump over the enemies instead of attacking. The only times the enemies will hit you is if you accidentally run into them, I'm not joking, it is seriously THAT easy. Sometimes you can get hit by a trap that most of the time you can't see until it activates, yet still, you will most likely not get hit. The only times that I can remember having fun with the game-play is during boss battles. Even though it was still easy (except for like 1 boss) it was enjoyable sword fighting action. Although sometimes ruined when the Wii remote doesn't pick up your swings, it's not the Wii's fault, it's the game's fault. Some of the missions you do have no rhyme or reason, it's like "Why am I doing this? And why is it important?" of course, not all the missions are like this.

This game is very easy. The levels are not that long, and as I said before, enemies are a joke. Not very many times will you die of falling off, which in most Sonic games is about 90% of your deaths (I don't know it's just a guess, it's at least 90% for me). This game is even easier when knowing that when you get hit you don't lose all of your rings (at least I think you don't) if you even get hit in the first place. The bottom line of this paragraph is: There is little to no challenge unless you seriously suck at video games.

This game is also EXTREMELY short. I beat this game in about 2 hours, mabye 3. As we all know about Sonic games, they are normally short, but not THAT short. But then again, mabye it being short is a good thing. At least it being short will get rid of the pain of playing this game faster.

The story is a total rip-off of King Arthur, except King Arthur is evil and only has 3 knights of the round table when in the book he had over 100 knights of the round table, I guess 100 was too many bosses which is understandable, but they could have at least had the main 13 knights of the round table! You know what I really don't understand? On the back of the case, it says it's the sequel to Sonic and the Secret Rings when this game is completely not related the Sonic and the Secret Rings at all. What also doesn't make sense is that Sir Lancelot was the best knight at the round table, but in this game he was the most pathetic, not to mention he resembles Shadow! Shadow is Sonic's rival and equal right? Wouldn't it be more epic to have him be the 2nd to last boss instead of Blaze? Oh yeah, and in the story...your sword freakin' talks, how much more corny can it get? Some parts of the story were easy to predict like that test Amy (or the lady of the lake) gave Sonic. I am not going to spoil it for you, but man it's predictable. From this point, you can guess that Sonic Team didn't know anything about King Arthur. Either that or they just changed it up too much and it ends up being a mess to me.

Then when I noticed the Wi-Fi symbol on the front of the case I thought to myself, "You can fight other people online like in the boss battles? This might be really fun!" But it was just a leader board thing, comparing scores for levels. Screw that!

Personally I didn't think the music was that great. At least not compared to previous Sonic games. Then again, music is nothing but opinion so I will not make anymore comments on the music.

I have not tried the multiplayer, so I cannot comment on that.

There has to be at least 1 good thing about this game besides the boss battles right? Well, yes! The graphics for the game are really good for a Wii game, however, this further proves the point that good graphics do not make a good game. So I could care less about the graphics as good as they are.

1 more thing I want to say before I conclude this review. When fighting King Arthur, it is nothing but trial and error. Not to mention, his horse runs faster than Sonic! Sonic can run at the speed of sound! Is he going easy in this little race with the horse on the never ending pathway that you fight Arthur on? I don't know, but Sonic could definitely beat King Arthur faster and more easily with his incredibly fast reflexes. After you know how to beat him though, he is never a challenge again.

After I beat the game I thought, "Are you serious?! I just beat the game?! There is no Super Sonic fight or some sort of super charged Sonic?" No there is not. If you still want to try this game I STRONGLY recommend you rent it first. But you will most likely beat the game when you are done renting it anyway. As for me, I think this game is a steaming pile of goat crap! It's a waste of time and money! If you enjoy this game then whatever I don't care, but I just cannot understand how someone COULD like this game. Anyway, thanks for reading my review. I hope you learned something today.

EDIT: I have learned recently that there is a secret ending and a few other things. Meaning that a few of the things that I said are not true. However, regardless of me being wrong about a FEW things does not change the fact that this game is just terrible. Besides, how can you blame me? They sure made it seem like the real ending. Anyway, I just thought I would mention this considering that people would not like my review as much if they thought I was putting false information on here. I am deeply sorry for that, and I hope this clears things up.
